Hail Yaya.

This post will be very short, very sweet, and to the point.

In the final pre-season game for the Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Ravens.   And we won 13 to 10.   The Ravens made the first touchdown of the evening (courtesy of wide receiver Demetrius Williams), which was soon followed by a Falcons touchdown (thanks to running back Jerious Norwood).

In the third quarter, the Ravens got a field goal, which gave them a 10 to 7 lead.  But then Falcons kicker Matt Prater (signed yesterday) tied the game with a field goal, and at the bottom of the fourth quarter gave Atlanta three more points from another field goal.

Again, I’m all smiles.    Fox was at the GA Dome broadcasting this game for Baltimore.   11alive’s Fred Kalil mentioned something about Falcons safety Daren Stone  jumping over a car while in college.  Apparently there’s youtube footage of this feat.  Here is the clip that was shown during the game:

A friend of his filmed it with a cell phone so the picture quality isn’t so great.

The Falcons first regular season game is against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday September 9th at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.  It will be televised by Fox at 1pm.   View the rest of the game schedule here.
