85, 357 people were at Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma today to watch the University of Oklahoma’s Sooners defeat the University of Miami’s Hurricanes 51 to 13 (televised by ESPN and my local ABC station).
Miami got six points from two field goals, one in the first quarter and the other in the third quarter. Their only touchdown in the game came in the bottom of the second quarter, courtesy of wide receiver Ryan Hill (the 18th play on a drive that reached the goal line).
Oklahoma dominated the game with one field goal in the bottom of the third quarter and touchdowns by wide receiver Malcolm Kelly (two the first and one in the fourth quarter), defensive back Reggie Smith (in the second quarter), tight end Jermaine Gresham (in the third quarter), fullback Dane Zaslow (in the fourth quarter), and wide receiver Adron Tennell (61 yards TD in the fourth quarter).
Zaslow practically somersaulted into the end zone.
