Oh to be a Cowboy.

The Dallas Cowboys won against the Washington Redskins this afternoon (game on Fox) 28 to 23. After spending two quarters behind Washington (a touchdown made by tight end Chris Cooley in the first quarter and a field goal in the second quarter), Dallas gained the lead in the third quarter. Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens had made a TD in the second quarter but his team didn’t turn the tables until the bottom of the third quarter when he made a thirty-one yard touchdown catch. The Redskins made a field goal before the third quarter was over, but they couldn’t stop the Cowboys, er, T.O. Mr. Owens made a forty-six yard touchdown catch in the top of the fourth quarter. Though the Redskins got another field goal as well as a touchdown by wide receiver Santana Moss in the bottom of the fourth quarter, T.O.’s fifty-two yard TD catch (sandwiched between that Washington field goal and TD), assured a Dallas victory.

Observations & Miscellania:

1. In first two Redskins field goals, the camera was positioned behind (and possibly slightly above) the kicker, Shaun Suisham and filmed with what appeared to be a wide angle lens. The perspective was subtly distorted in terms of distance (objects-are-closer-than-they-appear).

2. After making the forty-six yard TD catch, Terrell Owens dunked the football as if it were a basketball over the crossbeam of the uprights.
