Beautiful girls, all over the world, I could be chasin’ but my time would be wasted.
They got nothing on you, baby, nothing on you, baby.
They might say “Hi”
and I might say “Hey”
But you shouldn’t worry about what they say, cause they got nothing on you, babe.
The first few times I heard the chorus of Jay Park’s version of the song, specifically the phrase “they got nothin on you,” I interpreted it as: these other girls pale in comparison to you.
But after listening to A-Fu’s version about three times, I reconsidered the meaning. Couldn’t it also mean that those girls don’t have adequate intel on you? That whatever information they have on you wouldn’t hold water anywhere?
Things that make you go hmmm.
