Off Topic: Today’s Verse 67

Once we had a king who owned tens of thousands of miles
his kingdom began where the rose bushes wept
for peaches in the country
trapped in cans,

Once we had a queen who owned rows upon rows of thieves
her vengeance was sour and staggered up into the clouds
a million bare backs
so sexy

Once we had a soldier who owned orchards of olives and grapes
his harvest was abundant and made the people happy
then olives and grapes were chucked off
the dock of the bay

and now we’re just wasting time
and Margaritaville is nowhere to be found.
