Race and Sports at Emory University

My alma mater is hosting a series of panels on Race and Sports.
I am very excited about a panel on Saturday September 7th featuring Michael MacCambridge, whose book America’s Game: The Epic Story of How Pro Football Captured a Nation was a vital resource in my graduate studies.

Fritz Mitchell‘s documentary Ghosts of Ole Miss (2012), which was originally aired as a part of ESPN’s 30 for 30 TV series, will be screening Saturday morning.

Sweet starburst candies.  I’m more enthusiastic about these events than the start of the regular NFL season.
